Frequently Asked Questions
Why Choose Therapy?

Making the decision to start therapy takes courage and finding the right therapist for you or your family is essential. Under the right supportive conditions, that therapy aims to provide, I believe that people can enable their own shifts in thinking, felling and behaviours. Therapy is a space where we have the opportunity to understand ourselves and those around us. It's a space that allows us to explore the reasons why we think, feel and do the things we do.

Each person has areas of strength and therapy aims to capitalise on this by increasing coping skills, reducing stress and improving relationships.

What is a PMB?

Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs) are provided to most individuals with hospital plans and medical aids. PMB's are a set of benefits that all registered medical schemes in South Africa are obliged to provide for all their members, irrespective of their chosen plan type. Depending on the diagnosis and your medical scheme requirements, you would then be able to apply for PMB benefits. These benefits can range from 5 -15 sessions per year for psychiatry and psychology consults.

Sessions fees are normally based at medical aid rates, however these can be discussed upon booking and following an initial assessment.
